Closest Book Meme

I saw this on Kurt’s blog

The rules are:
1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the next four sentences on your blog, along with these instructions.
5. Don’t you dare dig for that “cool” or “intellectual” book in your closet! I know you were thinking about it! Just pick up whatever is closest!

Here we go… we went to a cool bookstore in Las Cruces called Coas. You take in your used books and they give you credit towards other peoples used books. I think we ended up paying $7 and some change for 20 books. Anywho… the closest book was “Visioneering” by Andy Stanley this is the first time it’ll be open.

Here is page 123, sentence 5 + the next 4…

“That’s why I’m asking you to take on this new assignment. You are a natural when it comes to assembling the right team for a project. I imagine you will always do well working with people. Look for opportunities to comment publicly and privately about the natural inclinations and abilities you see in the people around you. Then take it a step further by associating those inclinations and abilities to future success.”

It’s a good thing that Visioneering was on top of the other book I had near me… “Tender Warrior,” which by the way is a great book. I had to get a new one because my old copy walked off never to return… but the topic on page 123 in that book was about the differences between men and women and in particular that moment during the month when we’re really different.

So what book is nearest to you?

(Jason here’s your chance to get back into the blogosphere… an easy no brainer post.)
