Garden is on.
With the beginning of spring, I get excited about the garden. This will be our third year with our home grown produce. I can’t wait for it this year. We’ve taken some extra time over the past year composting. In El Paso we don’t have the richest soil, nothing like what I’m used to from Oregon, but this year our garden looks great. We’ve also added rabbit manure too (not sure if that’s what you call it).
We’ve planted a bunch of tomatoes. Cucumbers are new this year and watermelon. We’ve had beans before but this year we added the lattice against the back of the wall so they will be able to climb this time around.
If the tomatoes go as planned, we’ll be jarring some up and that I’m really excited about, because I want Anne to make her homemade spaghetti sauce with our home grown tomatoes. I can’t wait. As things progress I’ll share some more pics and what we’re learning along the way.
